U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Interpretive Center
This is a great place to bring kids to enjoy hands on activities and to see live fish and reptiles.  Programs are available for school groups.  There is an exhibit hall, grand lobby, sales area, auditorium, rest rooms, library, outdoor deck, observation platforms, and outdoor classroom, and butterfly house and garden.

Eagle Creek State Park
RR1, 4 miles southeast of Findlay
This beautiful State Park provides theperfect setting for outdoor recreation, natural relaxation, and luxurious accommodations for a day, a weekend, or even longer.  The park features native water and woodland ideal for camping, hiking, hunting, picnicking, fishing, snowmobiling, water skiing, boating, windsurfing or just relaxing. Visitors can also enjoy the large herds of deer that frequent the area.  Portions of the park have been cleared of physical barriers and are accessible to disabled visitors.

Findlay Marina
Gas stock store has necessities as well as gift, souvenirs, and refreshments.  Guide service is available along with boat rentals of pontoon and fishing boats.  Fishing licenses are available along with bait and other fishing supplies.

Boarman’s Chevy BelAir Museum
224 W. Main Street
This museum houses 10 vintage cars, as well as a 1993 Indy Pace Car.  It is decorated in 50’s sock-hop style, with black and white checkered floors, neon signs, Chevy clocks, tons of 50’s memorabilia and a jukebox.

Boarman’s Roxy Theatre
145 W. Main Street
The theatre is located in the same building as the original Roxy, which closed in 1966.  The old theatre was gutted and rebuilt with a vintage looking marquee, old style fabrics and curtains, neon lighting, and seating for 200.  The Roxy shows current Hollywood releases, classic films, and children’s films, as well as other special programming.

Chautauqua Auditorium
655 E North 9th Street, Forest Park
The Shelbyville Chautauqua Auditorium was at one time a center of culture and entertainment in the community.  The building was designed by architect, Morrison H. Vail, and was completed in 1903.  It is the largest building of its kind anywhere in the world and is now listed on the National Register of Historic places.  Famous speakers of the past, such as William Jennings Bryan, Rev. Sam Jones, Billy Sunday, and Carry Nation appeared for programs at the auditorium.

Family Aquatic Center

Provides recreation for all ages. Featuring zero-depth entry, frog slide, water slide, one-meter drop slide, wet playground area, sand playground area, concessions/food court area, shaded picnic area and bath house.  There are also several lap lanes and a diving board.

This municipal park features 120 acres of woods, a beautiful sunken garden, Chautauqua Auditorium, Vietnam Memorial, picnic area, and more!  Visitors can enjoy such recreational activities as hiking, fishing, swimming, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, and tennis.

General Dacey Trail
E. North 9th Street
This multipurpose trail is designed for walkers, runners, and bicyclists.  The trail is a great place for bird watching, geocaching, and photography.  It also has a 15 station outdoor fitness area at the Dam Overlook.  The trail heads are behind the scout cabin in Forest Park and the Dam West Recreation Area.

Lithia Springs Recreation Area
RR4, northeast of Shelbyville
Located on the east side of Lake Shelbyville.  Lithia Springs is a great place for camping, with 113 electric sites, 67 of which are available for reservation.  Amenities include flushable toilets, showers, playground, beach, laundry facility, telephone access, trailer dump station, boat ramp and more.  Visitors can enjoy hiking, fishing, hunting and boating on Lake Shelbyville. Lithia Springs Marina is located adjacent to the recreation area.

Located in the main basin of Lake Shelbyville.  They offer necessities, refreshments, boating accessories, fishing license and supplies, souvenirs and gifts as well as a Subway restaurant.  There are fishing, pontoon, and houseboats available for rent and guide service is available.  Daily and seasonal slip rental is also available.

Located north of Shelbyville on the west side of the lake.  The camping area features 63 electric sites and one non-electric site, 60 of which are available for reservation.  Amenities include flushable toilets, showers, playground, trailer dump station, telephone access, boat ramp and more.  Visitors can enjoy hiking, fishing, hunting and the beautiful beach at Lake Shelbyville.

Opossum Creek Recreation Area

Located north of Shelbyville on the west side of the lake.  The camping area features 51 electric sites and 28 non-electric sites, 66 of which are available for reservation.  Amenities include flushable toilets, showers, playground, trailer dump station, telephone access, boat ramp and more.  Visitors can enjoy hiking, fishing, hunting and the beautiful beach at Lake Shelbyville.

Shelby County Courthouse
301 East Main Street
Built in 1879-1881, this landmark houses historic paintings, including the Robert Root depiction of the Lincoln-Thornton Debate that took place in Shelbyville and launched Lincoln’s national political career. Courtrooms are generally open for viewing when court is not in session.

Shelby County Historical & Genealogical Society Center
151 South Washington Street
Organized in 1962, with a purpose to preserve Shelby County historical facts, this center currently serves as a library for researchers, with artifacts on display. It is housed in the 1892 building that was once the Shelby County Jail and the residence of the sheriff.

Tallman House

This house was built in 1905 by the inventor of the first mechanical hay baler and is listed on the National Register of Historical Places.  It was restored in 1989, and now serves as the office of the Shelby Historic House and Inn.

The Little Theatre on the Square

Bringing live performances to the prairie!  Founded by Guy S. Little, Jr., The Little Theatre opened its curtains in 1957 as a commercial venture, and remained that way until 1978. During those years, the theatre featured more than 175 famous stars on its stage.  The theatre has since undergone many positive changes, including an extensive renovation, and it remains a prime venue for professional theatrical performances.

The northern entrance to beautiful Lake Shelbyville is located here in Sullivan.  Visitors can enjoy boating, fishing, mountain biking, camping, as well as, swimming at the public beach at this recreational hot-spot.  Sullivan Marina and Campgrounds Resort, also located on the lake, offers paddleboat rental, hiking trails, playgrounds, swimming pool, boat rental, restaurant, motel suites and more.

Tower of Baa
The only one in the United States, the Tower of Baa is a goat tower modeled after a tower that Dave and Marcia Johnson saw in a wine magazine from South Africa.  The original goat tower was in Portugal. Dave Johnson built this tower for his Saanen goats.  The tower gives the goats shade as well as a place to climb that they would normally get in their native Switzerland.  The tower is 31 feet tall and has 5,000 bricks with 276 spiral steps that encompass the tower.  It is located on Wolf Creek Road.
